General description

  • This drive by wire electronic throttle body for multiple cylinders represents in fact a full family of possible customizable throttle bodies able to address all multiple cylinder engine architectures: L2, V2, 3 cylinders.
  • This family of throttle bodies is built around the master-slave throttle body concept where there is the presence of a unique motorized throttle which is then mechanically driving the other throttles
  • These customized throttle bodies will in any case take benefit of a standard-generic core electronic and gear automotive technology coming from Continental Automotive which is leader of these components in the automotive market.
  • These throttle bodies consist of a master throttle body with the following sub-assembles: Aluminum housing, Throttle plate, 2-step gear train/return springs, limp home spring, M34 DC-Motor, Sensor cover including redundant MR-position sensors, and 6-pole connector + a mechanical link to the slave’s mechanical throttle bodies.
  • The position of the motor can be customized in order to optimize the mechanical integration of this throttle body into the specific engine architecture
